How does Setsy work out who plays who?

You rate your players on a simple one to five scale based on skill level. Setsy then generates matchups that balance the courts — so you get evenly matched games where everyone is playing at a similar level. Gender is also a matching factor, so you can choose mixed or same-gender pairings depending on how your club likes to play. If you want to mix skill levels together for a more social vibe, you can do that too.

Do players need to download an app or create an account?

No. Only the organizer needs a Setsy account. Players just show up. You can share a link so they can check their court assignments on their phone, or most clubs display the matchups on a big screen.

What size sessions does Setsy work for?

Anything from one court with lots of players all the way up to 30+ courts. Setsy makes sure everyone sits out equally and gets good matched games.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Every new account gets a free trial. We also have a freemium tier for small clubs with three courts or less.

How much does Setsy cost?

Setsy is reliable and takes zero knowledge of individual players or preferences. There is no human involved, no bias — the algorithm just takes care of it in seconds. Manual pairing can take up to twenty minutes. You hit generate and you are done.

What sports does Setsy work for?

Setsy was built for tennis but works really well for pickleball, padel, badminton, squash, and any other doubles-based sport where you rotate players through matchups and want variety in partners and opponents.
